Burr Walnut and Marquetry Dresser

1900 - 1920
Description

A wonderful William and Mary style dresser in burr walnut. Decorated with fine quality inlaid floral marquetry panels and fitted with its original charming brass handles. The domed top upper section has a central cupboard which opens to reveal a shelved interior. This is flanked by shelves which are in turn flanked by decorative barley twist spiral turnings. The base section has a pair of drawers and stands on long , elegant turned legs which are united by an under-stretcher and terminate in bun feet. We have had this dresser sympathetically repolished in our workshops to a very high standard and it is now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a lovely colour and patina. It splits into two sections for ease of installation.
