Lovely pair antique art nouveau mahogany ladies & gents library chairs c1890:

A lovely pair art nouveau mahogany salon chairs and dating from around 1890. They have a shaped top rail with reeded side supports and deep padded back with upholstered armrests above shaped mahogany supports and a deeply padded stuff over seat seat. They stand on turned mahogany legs on castors. They have their original horsehair upholstery and are covered in a lovely velvet fabric totally in keeping with the period & style of the chairs.

A lovely pair of art nouveau mahogany chairs in very good condition being sound and solid and which ooze the charm and character of the period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

They are identical apart from the ladies chair does not have the upholstered armrests and is smaller in size.

Measurements: 39" high X seat height 15" X depth 31" X width 27"

Ladies chair: 34" high X seat height 15" X 29" deep X 24" wide
