Description

Lovely quality antique edwardian serpentine shaped mahogany double bedstead c1900

This is a lovely quality antique edwardian mahogany double bedstead and dating from aorund 1900. Constructed from solid mahogany the headboard has a deep moulded top rail with inlaid stringing above a quartered moulded panel with cross veneered and strung oval panel to the centre. The footboard mirrors the headboard except that it is a lovely serpentine shape. It stands on squared legs with inlaid stringing on castors. It has its original drop in irons.

It is in very good condition with a deep colour and original patination to the mahogany and oozes the charm and character of the period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: height to headboard 54" X height to footboard 42" X 80" long X 54" wide

Takes a standard double matress
