T Webb Silver Top Painted Burmese Glass Perfume Bottle

A splendid Burmese glass scent bottle by Thomas Webb and Son with hallmarked silver screw top lid dated 1886, made by Charles May & Sons and assayed in Birmingham, of bulbous form the glass body is salmon pink at the top fading to lemon yellow and is hand painted and gilded with a butterfly in flight amongst a flowering vine. The silver lid has two minor bruises otherwise the bottle is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration; it stands 5 inches tall.
