Description

An excellent mahogany bracket clock of Chamfer top design.

The 8 day duration double fusee movement has an anchor escapement and strikes the hours on a bell. The round white dial displays Roman chapters and the makers name, Samuel Tooke, Market Place, Lynn. The dial also with finely made matching blued steel hands. The high quality London made fusee movement features a transportation feature for the adjustable pendulum bob.

The well figured mahogany veneered and ebonised case with brass inlay & mouldings to the front elevation, brass fish scale sound frets to the sides, elaborate brass carrying handles and brass bordered blind frets around the dial. The chamfer top surmounted by a brass pineapple finial and standing on four brass ball feet.
