A Fabulous Pair of 19th Century Glass Urns & Covers

Description

A fabulous pair of 19th Century half fluted glass covered urns raised on facetted stems and square bases. The bowls are finely etched with scrolls, flowers and ferns and have a facet cut frieze. This decoration is repeated on the covers which are topped with a facetted knop. The condition of these 19th Century glass urns is good, there are very minor chips to the inside edges of one cover, these are very small as can be seen in the photograph and do not impact on the appearance of the urns. These superb antique urns have an excellent provenance, originally in the collection of Count Redmond Clayton - Browne - Clayton of the Villa la Punta, Liguria, Italy and through the family by descent. A wonderful pair of decorative, generously sized glass urns that would work in any interior.
