~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning Gothic clock set by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is of architectural form, finely modelled and well finished.
Candelabra have matching bases surmounted by boldly modelled arms and are complete with snuffers that sit in the central sconces as finials.

The dial is particularly good, enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and red half-hour markers. It is complete with original blued steel hands and a thick bevelled glass.
The French movement is of very high quality and has the 'Japy Freres Grande Medaille D'Honneur' mark on the movement backplate. It is in excellent running condition having been fully overhauled and tested by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear and tarnish. The dial has some slight chipping around the left hand winding hole. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
