Large Mahogany Pedestal Desk C.1890.

19th century
Description

Good sized late 19th.c. mahogany pedestal desk c.1890. A little larger than most with a 30" x 54" top with a tooled leather writing surface and thumb moulded edge over three drawers. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated depth and raised on a moulded plinth and castors. 24" x 24" kneehole. Superior quality with solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. With a mechanism which locks the two smaller drawers in the top when the middle drawer is closed. Excellent colour and condition cleaned and polished in our workshops. Middle drawer key supplied.
