Large 19th C. Chinese Silver Trinket Box By Yok Sang

A large 19th century Chinese silver trinket box by Yok Sang of rectangular form with crimped corners standing on four ball feet, the box is decorated with chiselled bamboo shoots on all sides and the top finished with a central cartouche mimicking the shape of the box. This splendid box has a hinged lid with a silk lined interior and removable silk & velvet insert, it bears the makers mark of Yok Sang on the underside and is in excellent condition measuring 7 ½ inches across and weighing 590g.
