Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
It has a finely slatted sliding tambour front which is in good working order and opens to reveal storage, with a single frieze drawer below, making it a really useful item. It has a lipped top and a wonderful depth of colour to the wood. There is an old split across the top and some old mends to the corners. Would work well as a piece of bedroom furniture but equally as well in a hall or living room as a lamp table.

Good condition. Nice warm patina the wood. Old splits across the top and at the corners, other marks and wear commensurate with age.
