An Ancient carved limestone head possibly Celtic. The head looks to be that of a roman soldier, the crude style of carving is very much Celtic in composition and you can still make out some tool marks in some areas. The stone itself looks to be a type of fossil limestone and has clearly been outside for centuries as the stone has completely discolored. To the bottom of the back there is a chip in which you can see the comparison in the discoloration of the stone. The overall condition is excellent.
