Unusual and Stylish Antique English Papier Mache Crumb Tray and Brush

Description

Most unusual, looking very English and very Regency - like rather than the French one's more normally seen. I suspect dating to around 1850, Victorian in period.

The burnished gold decoration is simple and very, very elegant, highlighted with a reddish orange hand painted edging.

The brush retains it's wonderful natural bristles, still in great shape.

Both the tray and brush are without damage and have a wonderful bright and polished patina. The tray measures 10" at widest x 9 1/2" deep and the brush measures 13" in length. Highly decorative!
