Description

Lovely antique 17th cent james 11 cqrved country oak coffer c1680

This is a lovely antique 17th century james 11 carved oak coffer and dating from aorund 1680 and the time of the restoration. Constructed from solid oak it has three fielded panels to the top and with a carved frieze above three fielded and carved panels to the front with panelled sides and original rough hewn panelled back and supported on short squared legs. It has later georgian hand beaten iron hinges.

It is hand & peg joined

A lovely original antique james 11 coffer now with good colour and original patination to the oak. It is in very good condition oozing the charm and character of the period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: 24" high X 20" deep X 46" wide
