Fine quality little Edwardian mahogany Chinese Chippendale style bookcase c.1905. Just 39" wide with a two door glazed bookcase top with three adjustable shelves raised on a two drawer stand with a shaped stretcher shelf below. Lots of good decorative detail with a pierced broken cornice and crisp Chinese Chippendale style blind fretwork across the front and continued on the drawer fronts, sides and legs of the base. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. Maker’s label for John Reid & Sons of Leeds. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
