The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 18866750 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for Birmingham 1914 with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison who was heavily involved in Waltham before emigrating to the UK to set up a watch case manufacturing company. The case is in nice condition with only mild bruising to the back.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
