~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French clock set by Samuel Marti.
This allows the pendulum to be seen swinging gently inside the case. A lions mask sits above the dial and mythical creatures to each side. Both clock and candelabra are profusely decorated with elaborate scrolling foliage.

Candelabra have the original snuffer finials. The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with a gilt bronze centre and original blued steel hands. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Samuel Marti. There is also the retailers mark for Bernard Fleury of Angers on the back plate and on the dial. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the next to the winding holes. Candelabra feet are slightly distorted. The set makes a stunning display as you can see below.

Samuel Marti clockmaker's mark on the movement back plate along with that of the retailer.
