Born in Norfolk, she later lived in High Wycombe, Bucks.
Her works have been exhibited not only in Britain, but all over the world and were purchased by Queen Mary.

She exhibited extensively between 1925 and 1939 – at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal West of England Academy, amongst many others and was elected to the British Watercolour Society in 1924.
Listed in Benezit, the International Dictionary of Artists
