Early 19th century French Empire commode/secretaire with a desk in the top drawer and two other drawers. This rare piece in the Egyptian taste - has detailed escutcheon plates, three keys, features the two Egyptian ladies and has its original marble top. The top drawer opens to reveal an attractive desk with nine smaller drawers. The desk top as been recovered. The secretaire dates from around 1820 -1830.
