Georgian, George 11 Silver Salver (Circa 1747)
A quite exquisite high quality hallmarked silver large sized salver from the George II period. For reference to scale this salver is 12 inches in width. Height is 1.375 inches. Maker is very good maker William Peaston. Assayed in London,1747-year letter m. Hallmarks are to the base. The weight is a sublime 751 grams (24.15 troy ounces) this piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. Engraved to centre with a divine bird crest, it is of most attractive form. The overall condition is excellent on this splendid antique object.
