George III Solid Tambour Writing Box

Description

A good quality George III period mahogany WRITING BOX in excellent and original condition.

With twin cast brass original handles to either side, it opens by pulling forward the front drawer handle which allows the tambour top to slide backwards. This reveals the set of three original ink bottles and the green baize writing surface. Below the fitted interior is access to a very secret drawer, and it is complete with its original (working) key. 16ins wide; 10ins deep; 7ins high, maximum.
