Large Antique English Figural Brass Letter Clip - Dog - Spaniel C.1880

Description

A truly handsome example of a large cast brass letter clip in the form of a Spaniel dog, sporting his two original glass eyes.

Superbly cast and signed on the underside by the manufacturer, I haven't identified the initials, with a cut-out to the back plate so that it can be hung to collect odd pieces of paper or letters.

Dating to the late Victorian era, c.1880, it remains in excellent condition; an impressive large size measuring 6 1/4" x 3 5/8" x 2 1/4" tall.
