A Rare Novelty Silver Mounted Match Striker

1900 - 1920
Description

A novelty Edwardian silver mounted match striker in the shape of a custard cup. This interesting example has a ribbed glass body for striking and a rim of hallmarked silver. The matches are held inside the cup and to one side is a handle in clear glass matching the foot. A rare and unusual collector's item and good gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the glass and no dents or splits to the silver. There are a few very small blemishes to the silver commensurate with age and use.
