Pair of mid C19th Chinese ormolu-mounted Cantonese porcelain lamps .

Smart pair of Chinese porcelain bodied lamps with "Famille Rose" palette enamel decoration with rococo-style cast ormolu bronzes mounts to top and base.

The bodies with typical Cantonese export style decoration with figural court scene panels interspersed with floral and symbolic motif design decoration.

The cast and chased rococo ormolu mounts with a mellow gilded and aged patina.

Originally conceived as oil-lamps , the fuel reservoirs have bee removed and converted to electricity. The lamps have been re-wired using traditional style cotton-covered flex and have new electrical fittings and switches. PAT tested.
