An exhibition quality 19th century amboyna and ebonised cabinet, the wonderfully shaped and detailed top above a profusely inlaid frieze where the inlay is of the highest quality, decorated with ormolu beading which also is running round the central panel, the sides and end doors are glazed with each door opening to reveal two fitted shelves inside, the middle door opens to reveal a red velvet lined interior with a single fitted shelf, the front of the door is wonderfully inlaid depicting griffins, urns, and various foliage, the front and sides of the cabinet having six turned and fluted columns, supported on a shaped plinth base. Circa 1870.
