A superb Inlaid mahogany cylinder bureau desk of the highest quality. Originally retailed by the prestigious London firm of S and H Jewell and bearing their label. Of the finest construction in solid mahogany and decorated throughout with exquisite inlaid detailing. Recently professionally repolished to the highest of standards and now offered for sale with an excellent colour and finish. The cylinder is lockable (key supplied) and is raised to access a fitted interior complete with a pull-out writing slope that can be set at a slant. The drawers to the main body of the bureau are also lockable (key supplied). The whole desk stands on elegant tapered legs which terminate in spade feet. It is surmounted by a lovely brass gallery to the top. This bureau is finished to the rear so could be free-standing within a room if desired. Offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home or office.
