Established in 1825 in Edinburgh, John Taylor and Sons were renowned cabinet makers producing high quality furniture to the latest designs using the finest timbers. In 1852 they were appointed cabinet Makers to her Majesty the Queen. One of the largest cabinet makers in Scotland in the 19th century employing nearly 300 people at their height, the company eventually closed its doors in 1945.
