A mid Victorian hallmarked sterling silver and glass scent bottle. It was made by George Brace and assayed in London in 1865.

The lid is monogrammed ''CAC'' with a unicorn symbol. It would have originally been gilded but much of the gilding has worn off. The interior is still gilded, and the inside of the lid holds a circle of glass which forms a seal. Behind the glass is further details. The collar, the lid and the inside of the lid are hallmarked.

The glass is of simple square form. The top is faceted and the underside is cut with a sunburst design.

I weighs 441g.

The general condition is good, though there are a number of small chips and nibbles to the glass, mainly to the shoulders. The top of the lid is also dented. The mechanism for closing the lid is absoloutely spot on and closes with a satisfying click.
