Antique Georgian Mahogany Bureau Desk C1780

Description

This is a very nice antique george 111 mahogany bureau and dating from around 1780. It has a fall front with brass escutcheon and original working key which opens to reveal a very nice interior with a long drawer to the centre with four pigeon holes above and to either side of which are two short drawers above two pigeon holes. It has a green baise writing surface with some signs of usage (but in good condition for age). There are four long graduated drawers to the base all of which are oak lined and with original brass handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

A quality george 111 bureau in very good condition with a lovely colour and patination to the mahogany.

Measures: 42" high X knee height 30" X 18" deep X 37" wide
