This burr walnut 6 drawer wellington chest has been adapted from a larger antique piece of furniture & is of very high quality. The burr walnut veneers are stunning & the proportions of this item are lovely. It has six drawers graduated in depth with turned handles. There are two vertical with bars with carved corbels on hinges which close over the drawers & the right hand bar has a lock. The top section is also burr walnut with a figured walnut cross banding & this piece sits on a plinth base. This is a very chunky strong well made piece of furniture with plenty of fine details, so please check & enlarge all the images.
