Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The colours are especially striking, iron red, greens, orange and yellow contrast well with the clear white glaze.

The condition of the vase and cover is very good, no chips or cracks and a good even glaze. The jar stands well on the carved hardwood stand with cabriole legs.
A wonderful example of a 19th Century Chinese ginger jar, and stylish addition to any room.
