Silver Mounted Cut Glass Claret Jug

1900 - 1920
Description

A Silver Mounted Cut Glass Claret Jug.

The top with a hinged circular lid above the triangular, slightly concave profile spout. The broad collar enclosing the neck, and joined tot he rounded angular handle, spreading to meet the body of the jug. The body with plain shoulders sweeping outward to the rounded body , well decorated with hobnail and lattice cutting, the body tapering inward tot he foot, the underside with a find star burst decoration.

Hallmarked for Hukin and Heath, Birmingham 1915.

Height 8 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 4 1/2 inches.
