A Stunning Silver Mounted Fruiting Vine Decanter

19th century
Description

A stunning silver mounted 19th century decanter in 'bottle' form. The glass is flashed in a wonderful emerald green. The body is decorated with slice cut panels and superb hand engraved fruiting vine detail. The vine has lovely definition, including veins to the leaves. The base is star cut and the silver is charmingly shaped into the neck and engraved to echo the body, with a vacant cartouche to the front. The decanter retains the original steeple stopper. A lovely, decorative and usable item. Dimensions below.
