Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There is evidence of early restoration to the finial, but this is not easily visible, the general condition of the vase is excellent. The very generous proportions and subtle colours of this imposing oriental vase would be an important decorative focal point wherever displayed.
