French Antique Nickel Dog Collar with Two Bells

Description

This is a delightful little dog collar most probably from France and is marked but even with a loop, I couldn't make it out; a different mark to the other one I have listed.

There are three rings; probably for a bell on the each of the outer rings and the central one for a name label. This one comes complete with two bells. Obviously the large hanging ring is for the leash to attach to.

The collar is opened with the use of the screw mechanism; the diameter varies from approximately 2 1/2" to approx. 2 7/8" depending on which of the four holes is used.

Dating to the early 20th century, it remains in excellent condition.
