A large pair of Baroque opera figures depicting a woman playing the violin and a man singing. Carved from pitch pine these figures would have originally been polychromed, there are a few areas left with traces of the polychrome. I think being musically themed these would have most certainly originated from an opera house. As you would expect the figures have had a few old repairs, however the condition of both is excellent and they have a lovely patina.
