Small Antique Nickel Dog Collar with Bell

Description

This is a delightful little dog collar most probably from France and is marked "Metal Extra Blanc".

There are three rings; probably for a bell on the each of the outer rings and the central one for a name label. This one comes complete with one bell. Obviously the large hanging ring is for the leash to attach to.

The collar is opened with the use of the screw mechanism; the diameter varies from approximately 3 1/8" to approx. 3 5/8" depending on which of the four holes is used.

Dating to the early 20th Century, around 1920 it remains in excellent condition.
