Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The etching is repeated on the covers which have faceted knops. The condition is excellent, there are a few tiny inclusions in the glass, obviously acquired during manufacture, and in no way detrimental. These superb urns have an excellent provenance, originally in the collection of Count Redmond Clayton- Brown- Clayton of the Villa La Punta, Liguria, Italy and through the family by descent.
A wonderful pair of 19th Century glass urns to enhance any setting.
