This is a wonderful piece of French Craftsmanship it is a French Inlaid Tantalus or Cave de Liqueur with 4 Decanters and 16 Shot Glasses, the cabinet has a serpentine shaped front, it is made mainly Amboyna and is inlaid with Ebony and Brass, the cabinet has a working lock and key, the lid lifts upward and then falls flat allowing the sides to open out for ease of access. The brass lock plate is engraved with the makers name with “Maison Alph Giroux Paris”

Inside we have complete set of 4 decanters and 16 liqueur glasses, these are quite charming they are etched with delicate scenes of animals and woodlands.
The cave is in very good condition considering its age, one of the decanters has a repair around the neck
