Antique 18th Century Primitive Childs Settle in Original Paint

Description

A stunning late 18th / early 19th Century primitive Child's settle, rare for its small size. It has a straight back with nicely shaped and curved arms. It is in its original paint which has worn wonderfully over the years, chipping and rubbing in all the right places to create a beautiful patina. A superb piece of honest country furniture which has been cleaned and given a light wax and is ready for the home.

It is in good condition for its age and has remained very original. It is strong and sturdy with no signs of worm. There is a small old repair toward the rear on one of the side panels (see photo) and of course many small knocks and some age related splits and chips but nothing detrimental or damaging. The best description really comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully.
