Antique Silver Single Watch Chain with Fob

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique silver single watch chain with fob.

The chain measures 33cm long including the T-bar and clasp. Each of the links has the lion passant silver mark. One of the links is stamped with the maker’s mark for Booth & Bigg… the mark was registered in 1903. The T-bar and clasp are white unhallmarked metal.

There is also a silver and enamel fob which is hallmarked for 1924 with a maker’s mark for Vaughton & Sons who were well known for their medals and Masonic pieces. There is some damage to the enamel infill. The wording around the edge of the fob reads, ‘Bankes’ Charity Cup1924-25’.

Total weight 48.3g.
