Description

A stunning and top quality little jewellery box made from sterling silver and standing on four pretty foliate legs.

The top is inset with a wonderful period panel of Tortoise Shell surrounded by a raised border. The shell has stunning markings and colours ranging from golden Champagne to rich chocolate brown and everything in between.

The shell is inlaid with a particularly pretty silver pique decoration with floral and foliate garlands tied with ribbons and bows.

Hallmarked for Birmingham 1914, a true antique example.

Excellent condition measuring 4 5/8" x 2 1/2" x 1 7/8" tall.
