A charming Japanese Meiji period ivory netsuke of a monkey embodying the proverbial principle “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” depicting the monkey covering his eyes with his right hand, his mouth with his left hand and his ears with his feet. This netsuke is beautifully detailed and signed Hideyuki on the base with a collector’s label, it is in excellent condition and sits 1 ¾ inches tall.
