Magnificent Georgian English Inlaid Mahogany Triple Compartment Tea Caddy

Description

A real stunner of an antique tea caddy with a wonderful shiny patina showcasing the magnificent Mahogany decorating the solid Oak casket.

This example is magnificent on all sides, with decorative two wood inlay on the front, back and both end panels. The beautifully shaped lid is crowned with a rich red piece of flamed Mahogany.

The interior is fabulous with all three original lids and the interior of all compartments just as they should be and untouched; the lid interior is all original too.

Standing on the four original bun feet, the caddy is in superb condition and dates to around 1810. Measuring 9 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 7 1/2" tall.
