Description

This stylish ARTS & CRAFTS LIBERTY STYLE ADJUSTABLE PIANO or MUSIC STOOL bears the DESIGN REGISTRATION NUMBER 248313 for 1895.

The STOOL is fitted with a BROOKS OF LONDON RISE AND FALL MECHANISM which enables the seat to lowered and raised by turning the beautiful turned-wood handles at either end.

The STOOL has the original ebonised finish which is complemented by, what appears to be, the original black fabric cover.

The dominant pierced heart-shape motifs, to the ends, give the STOOL the finishing flourish to a very well executed design.

There is wear and tear to the STOOL which have neither tried to disguise nor restore. The mechanisnm works well.
