Description

An antique silver pocket watch, 1917.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. There should be an inner hinged cover over the movement but this has gone missing over the years.

The watch itself measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1917 with the maker’s mark for William Ehrhardt, watch and case maker from Birmingham. The case is in good condition and the engine turned detail to the back is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass has small marks across it, probably from where it has knocked against something in a pocket.

The dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
