Description

Antique Elgin full hunter pocket watch, 1912.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 292, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Elgin name and the serial number 16,416,019 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition with nice crisp engine turned detail to both the front and back.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. If glass lenses broke, they were often replaced with acrylic as it looks so similar but is much more durable.

The signed dial is in lovely condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
