A Silver Mounted Scent Bottle in the Arts and Crafts Style

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming silver mounted scent bottle in the Arts and Crafts style. The domed planished lid screws on to the body and is delightfully gilded to the inside. The glass body is flared to the bottom and features hobnail, slice and notch cutting. To the underside is an eight point cut star and the bottle retains it's original peg stopper. A nice usable and collectable piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no damage to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass. There are a couple of very small flea bites around the neck by the stopper, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Maker :- Walker & Hall.

Date :- Birmingham 1911.

Height :- 7.5 cms.

Diameter :- 4.5 cms. (widest point).
