Description

A fine quality Anglaise Riche style French carriage clock with strike and push repeat dating circa 1890.

The substantial case with bevel-edged glasses throughout, fluted pillars to the four corners topped with the top folding handle to match.

A fine and original clock in fully restored condition.

The fully serviced French eight day movement of typical high quality, striking the hours and the passing of the half hour on a blued steel coiled gong, with the facility to depress the button on the case top to repeat the last hour.

The original silvered club-tooth lever platform escapement with blued steel hairspring and temperature compensated balance with brass timing screws.

Delicate blued steel spade hands

The original winding and hand adjusting decorative key.

The perfect condition circular enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, outer minutes chapter surrounded by a fine quality foliate filigree mask again in perfect condition.
