Description

A fabulous, cheeky and very charming inkwell made from solid cast English brass in the form of a Monkey retaining his original pair of glass eyes.

The circular base has a castellated rim and the monkey wears a hat. The hinged lid opens to reveal a removable glass liner, for easy refilling and cleaning.

Excellent condition and dating to the Victorian era, around 1880. 5" diameter x 3" tall.
