Goncarlo Alves Wine Table C.1860.

Description

Unusual little mid 19th.c. tripod wine table c.1860. In Goncarlo Alves, an exotic hardwood with a simialr appearance to rosewood. 17" diameter top with highly figured veneers on a hardwood ground, the edge shaped into 11 lobes. On a beautiful solid Goncarlo double twist carved column and shaped legs with unusual detail and a turned finial below. Very good condition and particularly good colour.
